WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The old stockyards on Chicago's south side are the backdrop for this twisted tale of urban beekeeping. When a beekeeper in the Bridgeport neighborhood faces bee-phobia, politicians intervene with painful results. No Bees for Bridgeport is a stinging social satire on old-school Chicago politics, urban farming, ethnicity and economic meltdown. It is written and performed by veteran solo performer Kestutis Nakas.
