Direct from Berlin, comes the Chicago premier of nostalgic and unmistakable '20s big band sounds from Max Raabe & The Palast Orchester. Known as a star in Germany for his smooth crooning, Raabe had his US premier in 2007 with a sellout at Carnegie Hall. Charismatic baritone Max Raabe captures this timeless music and, like Fred Astaire, can croon his way to tenorial highs or dip to playfully earthy basso lows all backed by his stellar 16-member band . You'll recognize many of these standards from "Singin' in the
Rain" to "I've Got Rhythm".
