The Black Ensemble Theater Company opens its 27th season with a rousing look at the history of the Girl Groups of the '50's and '60's. Mama Said There'll Be Days Like This is a World Premiere that explores the marked influence that Girl Groups had in defining the image of rock-n-roll in American culture. The show features the story and music of such groups as The Shirelles, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Chiffons, and The Chrystals (just to name a few!).
