WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A king decides he wants to be something else, and turns over control of his kingdom to his daughters. From that simple act comes a storm of chaos as Lear's mind and his former kingdom fall to ruin. In what many consider his greatest work, Shakespeare takes us to the extreme limits of existence, from unthinkable savagery to transcendent goodness.
