WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Hormones, IUI, IVF, donors, talk of surrogates, and the inevitable adoption question, comedian Kathleen Puls Andrade has endured them all. She tells her story in Journey to the Center of the Uterus™: Adventures Infertility! This original multi-media show is a humorously poignant piece about the entire infertility experience. Kathleen takes the audience on a roller coaster ride through her experiences with doctors of varying personalities, would-be supporters with foot in mouth disease, the ups and downs of hormones, shots, procedures and more. Using animation, interviews with real men and women from 35 to 85, and original music by Marshall Stern, the show aims to make the audience laugh while giving them perspective on the whole crazy process. It's not all about the funny, though, as Kathleen describes her battle with the effects of the hormones, drugs and procedures. This honest, personal tale will make you laugh, gasp, cry, and think. Journey to the Center of the Uterus™ is not just for those dealing with infertility. People who know others going through IVF or anyone interested in a great, funny story will love it too. What preview audiences are saying: "It was so touching and real. I think Kathleen says out loud a lot of things people think." "Loved the show! It helped me understand what my oldest daughter is going through." "I loved that you brought in the man's point of view. So important!" "Egg-celent show! A candid, sincere, funny look at the infertility journey." Written and performed by Kathleen Puls Andrade, directed by Andrew Eninger, with animation by Andrew Eninger and original music by Marshall Stern.
