Set on the night of an oracle-ordained battle between superheroes, I Will Swallow the Rain. focuses on Willie, a lonely young man dealing with parental loss. When Willie must face another goodbye, this time to his only loyal friend Jill, he decides to spend the eve of his 21st birthday drinking himself to death in a frenzied ritual. When an estranged childhood friend interrupts his drinking binge in a desperate attempt for reconciliation, Willie's eyes are opened to an act of courage that shatters his perception of the past as reality and absurdity collapse into self-discovery.
