As the country moves inexorably towards the Reaganomics of the 1980s, Joan and Edgar, an idealistic young couple, try to preserve their ideals while struggling to support themselves and their ailing child. When a friend from their radical past, now a self-styled money guru, arrives for a surprise visit, they're faced with a life-altering choice.
