WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

As the country moves inexorably towards the Reaganomics of the 1980s, Joan and Edgar, an idealistic young couple, try to preserve their ideals while struggling to support themselves and their ailing child. When a friend from their radical past, now a self-styled money guru, arrives for a surprise visit, they're faced with a life-altering choice. Twenty-five years later, they're left to question whether happiness can be gained through a lifetime of comfort and acquisition. Written by Jessica Goldberg. Carolyn Cantor directs.
