WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Georgia Tom is the story of Thomas Andrew Dorsey, a promising young Negro musician living out his boyhood dream of playing piano for the popular blues singer Ma Rainey. This World Premiere Musical features Dorsey's original gospel songs, including 'Precious Lord, Take My Hand,' and 'Peace in the Valley,' with additional music and lyrics by Dr. Robert J. Fryson and Johnson.
