Ella: The First Lady of Song (The Ella Fitzgerald Song) , written and directed by Jackie Taylor, is BET's newest musical. This musical features 18 of Ella Fitzgerald's classical jazz hits, and tells the story of this record-setting (13) Grammy Award winner from a troubled childhood through her ill-fated marriages to winning her last Grammy at the age of 72.
