WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Under the direction of the Village Players Theatre's Artist Director, Carl O'cchipinti, this charming play tells the story of the relationship between an elderly Southern Jewish widow and her African-American chauffeur. Over their twenty five years together, spanning 1948-1973, their friendship evolves as they face aging and complex social issues of the time. Written by Alfred Uhry, Driving Miss Daisy won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
