WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Set in a country transitioning to democracy, Death and the Maiden is a modern thriller with a haunting conclusion. A Commissioner investigating crimes of the old regime is rescued from the roadside by a doctor passing by. When the two return to the Commissioner's home, his wife is convinced that the doctor is concealing a dark past and convenes her own person trial to bring him to justice.
