Dancing at Lughnasa is Brian Friel's Tony Award winning drama of the five Mundy sisters struggling through life, love, and tragedy in the summer of 1936, in the west of Ireland. On the eve of Lughnasa, Christianity and paganism become uneasy partners, trapped in a dance of a torn people, searching desperately to find where they belong.
