WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
CTA: Coming to America is a new play from the direct transcripts of interviews composed of immigrants in Chicago who have come from all over the world. CTA uses the power of ensemble-based theatre to bring the stories of these Chicago immigrants to life on stage through the form of monologues, poetry, movement pieces and vignettes. These diverse stories range from, the 88 year old mother-ship of the Irish community, a 26 year old former lost boy of Sudan, and a 55 year old Palestinian cab driver who was once "the King Tut of Rush Street."
