WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Sam Shepard's 1979 Pulitzer Prize winner Buried Child deals with the lost ideal of the all-American family and the possibilities for hope in a society overwhelmed by its past. Shepard presents a family torn apart by long buried secrets, including an ornery grandfather, a religious yet flirtatious grandmother, and a long lost grandson desperate for recognition. Hans Fleischmann directs.
