WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A Still Life in Color, by Philip Dawkins, is an exotic fairy tale involving a princely love triangle in a world where it has been raining for 3,285 straight days. As the waters rise and people drown, it's up to the prince--and the power of love--to save the day. Zeljko Djukich directs this world premiere.
Written in 2002 under the title "The Day After Yesterday," the play was a winner of the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre First Annual New Play Festival where it received a staged reading. In March of 2003, Mr. Dawkins was awarded a fellowship by the Hawthorden Castle International Retreat for Writers in Scotland where he further developed the script. TUTA production marks its World Premiere.
