WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A Season in the Congo dramatizes the rise and fall of legendary Africa Leader Patrice Lumumba. After leading his countrymen to freedom from Belgium, Patrice Lumumba becomes the Congo's first Prime Minister and is quickly challenged by a restless population, political rivals and the meddling of foreign nations. His vision for the Congo will ultimately seal his fate. This political drama examines both the birth of a modern nation and the final months of this controversial leader.
