WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Fast-paced, incredibly witty and horribly irreverent, Broadway's greatest farce and musical takes comedy back to its roots, combining 2,000-year-old comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. Crafty slave, Pseudolus, hilariously struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan for his young master in exchange for long-awaited freedom. Stephen Sondheim's hilarious songs join forces with Larry Gelbart & Burt Shevelove's raucous book to craft a non-stop laugh fest.
