WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
As part of the Chicago Loop Alliance's all night party, Looptopia, Silk Road Theatre Project presents an eclectic late-night celebration of music, dance, painting, poetry and theater. Join in as silk road reads, discusses and explores seven brief, brilliant and irreverent plays written by Suzan-Lori Parks. Observe and talk with visual artist, Joel Maxime Jr., as he paints "live" in response to the plays. Jump up and dance with the actors as Indian-American choreographer Alka Nayyar teaches us a Punjabi folk dance called Bhangra.
