Broadway vets John Dossett (Dear Evan Hansen) and Douglas Sills (Living on Love) will join Tony winners Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole in the world premiere of the new musical War Paint, a production of Chicago's Goodman Theatre.

Inspired by Lindy Woodhead's book War Paint, as well as Ann Carol Grossman and Arnie Reisman's PBS documentary The Powder & the Glory, the show examines the ascent and rivalry of Helena Rubenstein and Elizabeth Arden, whose 50-year tug-of-war gave birth to an industry. LuPone will take on the role of Rubenstein, and Ebersole will play Arden, with Dossett as Arden's husband, Tommy Lewis, and Sills as Harry Fleming, Rubeinstein's confident.

War Paint features a book by Doug Wright and score by Scott Frankel and Michael Korie, the team behind the musical Grey Gardens, in which Ebersole starred.

Directed by Michael Greif and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, the production's creative team includes David Korins (set design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design) and Brian Ronan (sound design), as well as Bruce Coughlin (orchestrations) and Lawrence Yurman (music director).

Additional information about War Paint will be announced in the coming months.
