Peter Shaffer Discusses Amadeus

THEATER TALK interviewed with legendary British playwright Peter Shaffer. His most famous play Amadeus was originally staged over twenty years ago and recounts the fierce battle between musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his envious adversary Antonio Salieri. Shaffer explained the origin of his work, as well as script changes he has made for the upcoming Broadway revival starring David Suchet and Michael Sheen. The interview aired Thursday, December 16 at midnight on channel Thirteen/WNET.
