Kevin Gudahl, Timothy Edward Kane, Elizabeth Ledo, John Reeger et al. Set for Tony Kushner’s The Illusion

The Court Theatre will present the Chicago premiere of Tony Kushner’s The Illusion, March 11-April 11, with an official opening on March 20. Charles Newell will direct.

Adapted from Pierre Corneille’s L’illusion Comique, Kushner’s work focuses on a father’s attempts to find his estranged son. The cast features Kevin Gudahl (Amanuensis/Geronte), Timothy Edward Kane (Matamore), Elizabeth Ledo (Elicia/Lyse/Clarina), and John Reeger (Pridamant), as well as Kareem Bandealy, Michael Mahler, and Hillary Clemens.

The creative team will include John Culbert (lighting design), Jacqueline Firkins (costume design), Joshua Horvath (sound design), and Collette Pollard (scenic design).
