Brenda Barrie to Star in Lifeline’s Mrs. Caliban

Brenda Barrie will star in the world premiere adaptation of Rachel Ingalls’ 1983 magical realism book Mrs. Caliban, to be presented by Lifeline Theatre, February 5-March 28, with an opening on February 15. Ann Boyd will direct this adaptation, penned by Frances Limoncelli.

In the play, Dorothy (played by Barrie) is locked in a lifeless marriage of empty domestic ritual until a fugitive reptile-man from another world arrives on her doorstep. With him, she finds forbidden love and experiences a rebirth of her spirit, as she learns to question her assumptions about the world.

The cast will also include Monica Dionysiou (Sandra), Dan Granata (Fred), Peter Greenberg (Larry), and Jenifer Tyler (Estelle).

The creative team will feature Josh Horvath (sound design), Branimira Ivanova (costume design), Brandon Wardell (lighting design), and Chelsea Warren (scenic and properties design).
