William Petersen Offically Joins Steppenwolf Ensemble

William Petersen, who recently departed his long-running starring role on CBS-TV’s CSI, has been named an official ensemble member at the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago. He is currently appearing in their production of Conor McPherson’s Dublin Carol, and previously appeared in their productions of Balm in Gilead and Fool for Love.

The now 42-member ensemble, led by artistic director Martha Lavey, includes some of the country’s finest actors, writers, and directors, including Joan Allen, Kevin Anderson, Gary Cole, Kathryn Erbe, Frank Galati, Terry Kinney, Tina Landau, Tracy Letts, John Mahoney, John Malkovich, Laurie Metcalf, Amy Morton, Austin Pendleton, Martha Plimpton, Rondi Reed, Anna D. Shapiro, Gary Sinise, and Lois Smith.

Petersen’s other theater credits include In The Belly of the Beast, The Night of the Iguana, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Glengarry Glen Ross.
