Full Cast Announced for Miss Saigon at Drury Lane Oakbrook

Full casting has been announced for Drury Lane Oakbrook’s production of the Claude-Michel Schonberg-Richard Maltby, Jr.-Alain Boublil musical Miss Saigon, to run December 31-March 8, with an opening set for January 8. Rachel Rockwell will direct.

Set in 1975 in the days before Saigon’s fall to Communist forces at the end of the Vietnam War, Miss Saigon is the story of a romance between Chris, an American Marine serving as an Embassy guard in the days before the American evacuation of Saigon, and Kim, a young Vietnamese woman orphaned by the war and forced to work in a Saigon night club.

The cast will star Kevin Vortmann as Chris and Melinda Chua Smith as Kim. Katie Boren will play Kim for the matinee performances, and the cast will also include Joseph Foronda, Melissa Dye, John Sanders, Evan D’Angeles, Jillian Jocson, Audrey Billings, Christine Bunuan, Natalie Chung, Adrian Fontanilla, Freddy Franklin, Michael Glazer, Kent Haina, Chie Isobe, Scott Alan Jones, George Keating, Christina Luzwick, Richard Manera, J.P. Moraga, Mayumi Omagari, Allison Orobia, Joshua Park, Matt Raftery, Billy Sarna, Erin Thompson, and Christopher Yee.
