Neva Rae Powers will star as Florence Foster Jenkins and Mark Anders will play her accompanist Cosme McMoon in Northlight Theatre’s production of Stephen Temperley’s Souvenir, to run November 12-December 20. Steve Scott will direct.

The play tells the comedic and musical true story of Florence Foster Jenkins: a New York socialite whose tin ear couldn’t keep her off the stage at Carnegie Hall. The design team will include Tom Burch (set), Theresa Ham (costumes), Lee Fiskness (lighting), and Victoria DeIorio (sound).

Powers has been seen on Broadway in King of Hearts, Barnum, Peter Pan, and Can-Can, as well as in the national tour of Little Women. She previously played the role of Florence Foster Jenkins in productions of Souvenir at American Stage Theatre (Florida), St. Louis Repertory Theatre, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati and Vienna’s English Theatre (Austria). Anders previously appeared at Northlight in A Marvelous Party: The Noel Coward Celebration, and has been seen all around the United States in 2 Pianos, 4 Hands.
