Jonathan Hagloch’s new adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters’ Spoon River Anthology will open the Saint Sebastian Players’ 29th season, running October 23 – November 15 at St. Bonaventure. Hagloch will also direct the production, which will feature his original music.

In the piece, a portrait of life in small town Illinois emerges through a series of epitaphic monologues. In celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday, Hagloch’s adaptation features a special section in which characters speak of their personal relationships with the America’s 16th president.

The company features SSP members Robert Dean, Lauren Goode, Alisa Marier, Jim Masini, Victoria Montalbano, John Oster, Todd Parkhurst, Nancy Pollock, and Jackie Waters.
