Victory Gardens Announces 2008-2009 Fresh Squeezed Series

Victory Gardens has announced events in its 2008-2009 Fresh Squeezed Series, which will begin with the previously announced production of WNYC’s Radio Lab’s Martian Invasion! Decoding the War of the Worlds, October 26-27.

Martian Invasion! will explore the phenomenon that is War of the Worlds. Hosts Jad Abumrad an Robert Krulwich, who will deconstruct the original broadcast sociologically and psychologically to discuss the ability of mass media to create widespread panic.

The series will also feature Cabaret! Cabaret!, November 7, an evening of musical theater presented by Chicago Public Radio; Drinking & Writing Vol IV: The 12 Steps of X-mas will return November 28-December 19; What Does The Sun Sound Like? will take the stage, February 15-16; Literally Sexy 2: Because it feels good, April 3-10, a show full of sex stories, comedy, and advice created by TimeOut Chicago‘s Debbie Herbenick; and the series will close with The Margot Bordelon Project, April 19-20, Margot Bordelon multi-media performance compiled from her recent travels across the country.
