Kathyrn Jones' Queen Elizabeth's Dwarf to Kick Off Crip Slam Series

Kathyrn Jones' solo performance, Queen Elizabeth's Dwarf will kick off the Victory Gardens Access Project 2008-2009 Crip Slam series at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, November 23 at 7:30 pm.

The show explores the personal relationship dwarves and other people with disabilities played in the queen's court and during the Renaissance. Following her performance, Jones will be interviewed by Edward Wheatley, Associate Professor and Edward L. Surtz, S.J., Professor of Medieval Literature at Loyola University in Chicago.

Upcoming Crip Slam presentations also include What Does the Sun Sound Like?, written and performed by Arlene Malinowski (February 15); Night of Scenes (June 21); and two additional events scheduled for March 8 and May 3.
