Cast, Creative Team Set for Mariette in Ecstasy at Lifeline Theatre

Full cast and creative team information has been announced for the Lifeline Theatre production of Mariette in Ecstasy, February 13-April 5, 2009. With direction by Elise Kauzlaric, Christina Calvit’s adaptation will have an official opening on February 23.

This adaptation of Ron Hansen’s contemporary bestseller is set amidst The Sisters of the Crucifixion who live quiet lives of prayer and devotion until Mariette is initiated into their cloister and a divine encounter challenges the sisters’ faith and community.

The cast will feature Brenda Barrie as Mariette Baptiste, Allison Cain as Sister Agnes, Patrice Egleston as Reverend Mother Celine, Sarah Goeden as Sister Hermance, Morgan McCabe as Mother St. Raphael, Katie McLean as Sister Aimee, Shole Milos as Dr. Baptiste, Melinda Moonahan as Sister Catherine, Elizabeth Olson as Sister Philomene, Janice O’Neill as Sister Marguerite, Brian Parry as Pere Mariott, and Sadie Rogers as Sister Genevieve.

The creative team will include Alan Donahue (scenic/prop design), Sarah Hughey (lighting design), Branimira Ivanova (costume design), Tim Hill (sound design), and Richard Gilbert and David Gregory (violence design).
