Bailiwick Chicago Announces 2010-2011 Season

The Bailiwick Chicago Collective has announced details of the theater company’s 2010-2011 season.

The season will open with Departure Lounge, a new musical with book, music & lyrics hy Dougal Irvine, to be directed by Tom Mullen with musical direction by Kevin Mayes. The show will begin previews on October 28 at the Royal George’s Cabaret Theater. Violet, featuring music by Jeanine Tesori, book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, will be directed by Elizabeth Margolius, and will open in late February, with a location to be announced.

Passing Strange, with book and lyrics by Stew, music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, created in collaboration with Annie Dorsen, will be directed by Lili-Anne Brown, and will open in mid-April, with location to be announced. The season will conclude with The North / South Plays, two original works developed in association with Teatro Luna, to be presented in repertory in July, with a location to be announced.
