Patti LuPone and Brian Stokes Mitchell are set to appear in a semi-staged production of Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL August 13-15, 2010. Lonny Price will direct and Paul Gemignani will conduct.

This staging, which will also feature the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Gemignani, will coincide with the 150th anniversary of Oakley’s birth.

LuPone has previously appeared in Ravinia’s stagings of musicals such as Gypsy, Sweeney Todd and A Little Night Music, and will also appear alongside Michael Cerveris, George Hearn, and Audra McDonald in Ravinia’s Sondheim Gala, on July 31.

Other plans for Ravinia’s 2010 season include a performance of selections from Candide (July 23), featuring Kim Criswell; Federica von Stade in a concert staging of Cosi Fan tutte (August 5 & August 7); and Nathan Gunn in a concert version of The Marriage of Figaro (August 6). Additionally, Joshua Bell will come to Ravinia for a concert celebrating Samuel Barber’s 100th birthday (July 13).
