Larry Adams, Jennifer Blood, Patti Cohenour, et al. Set for Drury Lane’s The Sound of Music

Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace has announced casting for The Sound of Music, to run October 20 – December 23. Rachel Rockwell will direct and choreograph the production, which will have musical direction by Roberta Duchak.

With music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, the show centers on the events in Nazi era Germany and Austria that led to the formation of the Von Trapp family singers.

The company will feature Jennifer Blood (Maria), Larry Adams (Captain von Trapp), Patti Cohenour (Mother Abbess), McKinley Carter (Elsa), David Girolmo (Herr Zeller), Katie Huff (Liesl), Peter Kevoian (Max), John Reeger (Franz), Paula Scrofano (Frau Schmidt), Craig Spidle (Admiral von Schrieber), and Brandon Springman (Rolf).

The cast will also include Julia Baker and Marie Claire Popernick alternating in the role of Gretl, Arielle Dayan and Ingrid Lowry alternating as Brigitta, Zach Keller as Friedrich, Emily Leahy and Hannah Whitlock sharing the role of Marta, Ethan Lupp and Ben Parkhill alternating the role of Kurt, and Laura Nelson and Dana Paulo alternating as Louisa.

The ensemble will be comprised of Michael Accardo, Audrey Billings, Gary Carlson, Jeff Diebold, Michael Ehlers, Natalie Ford, James Lee Glatz, Cory Goodrich, Sophie Grimm, Catherine Lord, Emilie Lynn, Ann McMann, Liz Pazik, Genevieve Perrino, and Jennie Sophia.

The creative team will include Kevin Depinet (scenic design), Jesse Klug (lighting design), Theresa Ham (costume design), and Garth Helm (sound design).
