Greenhouse Theatre Center Up for Sale

The Greenhouse Theater Center has been put up for sale, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune‘s Theater Loop blog. In its history, the theater has been used by both the Body Politic Theatre and the Victory Gardens Theater. Since the latter organization’s relocation to its new home at the Biograph Theatre, the Greenhouse has been a venue used by companies such as Shattered Globe, Remy Bumppo and Eclipse Theatres.

The Greenhouse is a multi-performance facility that houses four theaters, offices, rehearsal space, a box-office and more. The theater has been put up for sale by its owners, Wendy and William Spatz, who purchased the theater from Victory Gardens while the organization was in the process of moving to the Biograph.
