Timothy Gulan, Michele Ragusa, et al. Set for Marriott Theatre’s For the Boys

The Marriott Theatre has announced casting for For the Boys, to run August 17 – October 16. Marc Robin will direct and choreograph the production, which has a book by Aaron Thielen and will have musical direction by Dr. Ryan Nelson.

Based on the movie of the same name, the musical follows Dixie Leonard, a 1940s big-band singer, and Eddie Sparks, her entertainer partner, both USO performers. The score includes such standards as “PS I Love You,” “GI Jive,” “Stuff Like That There,” “Come Rain or Come Shine” and “What a Wonderful World.”

The company will feature Michele Ragusa as Dixie Leonard, Timothy Gulan as Eddie Sparks, Anne Gunn as Loretta Brooks, Summer Smart as Margaret, Michael Lindner as Sam Schiff, Bernie Yvon as Wally Fields, Johanna McKenzie Miller as Luanna Trott, Holly Stauder as Gloria, Michael Weber as Art Silver, Melissa Zaremba as Victoria Lee, Katheryn Patton as Evelyn, Rod Thomas as the Band Singer, and Jameson Cooper as Michael.

The ensemble will include John Michael Coppola, Alex Goodrich, Karl Hamilton, Andrew Mueller, Brandon Springman, Zachary Keller, Johnny Rabe, Daniel Coonley and Conlan Ledwith.

The creative team will be comprised of scenic designer Thomas M. Ryan, costume designer Nancy Missimi, lighting designer Diane Ferry Williams, sound designer Robert E. Gilmartin, and projection designer Sage Carter.
