Neil LaBute Set for Readings and Talk Back at Profiles Theatre; Season Announced

The Chicago-based Profiles Theatre will host An Evening with Neil LaBute 2011: Live and In Person as part of its new season. The one-night event will feature all new readings and a talk back with the celebrated playwright on January 8, 2011.

The theater’s 2010-2011 season will include a production of LaBute’s Tony-nominated play Reasons to Be Pretty (January 21-March 13), directed by Rick Snyder. Somer Benson and Darrell W. Cox will star.

The season will begin with the acclaimed new play Jailbait by Dierdre O’Connor (August 27 – October 17), featuring Eric Burgher. Profiles will also present the world premiere of Kid Sister, by Will Kern (November 2-December 19), featuring Eric Burgher, Darrell W. Cox and Allison Torem, and the Midwest premiere of Fifty Words by Michael Weller, (April 15- June 5), featuring Darrell W. Cox. All three of these plays will be directed by Profiles’ artistic director Joe Jahraus.
