Drury Lane Announces New Summer Cabaret Concerts

Drury Lane Theatre has announced dates for two new Summer Music Series performances and two new Chicago Cabaret Professionals’ (CCP) Musical Mondays performances.

New Summer Music Series events include Taste of Chicago Cabaret; The Duos (June 24), a showcase of three Chicago singing duos presenting a mix of Broadway, Pop, Jazz, and Blues. Performers include Ann Burnell, Mark Burnell, George Howe, Daryl Nitz, Beckie Menzie, and Tom Michael. 3GIRLS3 will present They Write the Songs: The Musical Magic of Bachrach and Manilow (June 30), featuring Gail Koppa, Heather Moran, Daryl Nitz, and Mary Monica Thomas. Kevin Moore will host both events.

CCP’s Musical Mondays will feature Puttin’ on the Ritz with Irving Berlin (July 13), a celebration of Berlin’s work performed by David Edelfelt, Laura Freeman, Margie Gibson, Carla Gordon, Tommy Hensel, Beckie Menzie, Tom Michael, Marianne Murphy-Orland, and Daryl Nitz with Nitz at the helm and musical direction by Menzie. Rosemary Clooney and Friends (July 27), will celebrate Clooney’s talent as cabaret artist, with performances by Ava Logan, Heather Moran, Bob Moreen, Suzanne Petri, Spider Saloff, and Jeanne Scherkenbach. Scherkenbach and Petri will direct with musical direction by Moreen.
