The Chicago company of Wicked will celebrate its third anniversary with a public celebration at The Great Lawn of Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park (corner of Columbus Dr. and Randolph St.) on Tuesday, June 24 at 11:00 a.m.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel, Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

The public is invited to arrive ‘GREEN-ified,’ that is, dressed as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. The first 365 “fully greenified and WICKED’ly dressed witches” will receive a pair of tickets to a future performance. Non costumed participants are also welcome.

The event will include a cast-led group sing-a-long of “Defying Gravity” and a chance to learn the Elphie-Dance in “Dancing Through Life.” There will also be a special drawing for $25 tickets to that evening’s show that will also include a rare backstage tour.

The cast currently includes Annaleigh Ashford as Glinda, Lisa Brescia as Elphaba, Kristoffer Cusick as Fiyero, Barbara Robertson as Madame Morrible, Gene Weygandt as The Wizard, Heidi Kettering as Nessarose, K.Todd Freeman as s Doctor Dillamond, and Stanton Nash as Boq. The ensemble features Meredith Akins, Kerry Blanchard, Cristin Boyle, Jeremy Duvall, Peter C. Ermides, Steven James Ewing, Marisa Field, Timothy A. Fitz-Gerald, James Ginnever, Jacqui Graziano, Charles Hagerty, Gregory Haney, Jill Hayman, Michelle London, Patrick McCollum, Vanessa McMahan, Vicki Noon, Nathan Peck, Casey Quinn, Mindy Reid, Don Richard, Brad Simanski, Betsy Struxness, and Kevin Samual Yee.
