Felicia Fields, James Earl Jones II, Adrianna Parson, et al. Set for Theatre at the Center’s The Wiz

Theatre at the Center has announced casting for The Wiz, to run July 7 – August 7. Stacey Flaster will direct and choreograph the production, which will have musical direction by William Underwood.

With music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls and a book by William F. Brown, The Wiz is a modern musical retelling of the classic The Wizard of Oz.

The company will feature Darius Colquitt (Scarecrow), Dwelvan David (The Wiz), Vasily Deris (Winged Monkey), Candace C. Edwards (Glinda/Aunt Em), Felicia Fields (Evillene), James Earl Jones II (The Lion/Uncle Henry), Adrianna Parson (Dorothy), Alexis J. Rogers (Addaperle), and Jesse Dean Stanford (Tinman), along with N’jameh Camara, Chris Carter, Reneisha Jone’ne Jenkins, Joelle Lamarre, Jaymes Osborne, Rebecca Pink, John Pierce Taylor and Marlon Washington.

The creative team will include Bill Bartelt (scenic design), Tim Fandrei (lighting design), Barry Funderburg (sound design), and Brenda Winstead (costume design).
