Yasmina Reza’s Tony Award-winning God of Carnage will be part of the Goodman Theatre’s 2010-2011 season, running March 5 – April 10. Casting and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Reza’s play, translated by Christopher Hampton, focuses on two married couples dealing with a schoolyard dispute between their sons. The piece will join a lineup of plays at the Goodman, which, as previously reported, will also include four world premieres by Sarah Ruhl, Regina Taylor, David Henry Hwang and Thomas Bradshaw, as well as Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, directed by Mary Zimmerman and Robert Falls’ new production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. One remaining play is still to be announced.
