BoHo Theatre topped the list, earning 12 nominations, closely followed by Oracle Productions, which earned 11. BoHo's production of Kander and Ebb's Kiss of the Spider Woman earned six nominations alone. The Jeff Committee also recognized BoHo's productions of Amadeus and Veronica's Room.

Oracle Productions' strong season brought home seven nominations for Bertolt Brecht's The Mother and four for Alex Paul Young's new play, Pink Milk. Chicago's Raven Theatre is also enjoying a strong presence among the nominees with a total of nine nominations, including six for The Playboy of the Western World.
