Brown Paper Box Co. to Present Reading of Reefer Madness! The Musical

Brown Paper Box Co. is set to present its second annual staged reading of Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney’s spoof Reefer Madness! The Musical, April 20 at 11:30pm at Stage 773. M. William Panek will direct, and musical direction will be by Katie Colby.

Inspired by the 1936 film and based on the company’s 2010 hit production, Reefer Madness! The Musical takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when kids fall prey to marijuana.

The cast will feature Zev Steinberg (The Lecturer), Justin Kilduff (Jimmy Harper), Anna Schutz (Mary Lane), Ashley Klingler (Mae), David Geinosky (Jack Stone), Michael Gardner (Ralph Wiley), and Jillian Weingart (Sally), as well as Patrick Butterfield, Megan Ensley, Katherine Glavin, Michelle Kritselis, Nick Shoda, Daniel Spagnuolo, and pianist Katie Colby.

Prop design is by Ian James Anthony.
