Casting has been announced for a benefit reading of All About Eve, to be offered on May 23 at the Mayne Stage in Chicago. Steve Scott will direct this presentation of Joseph L. Maniewicz’s 1950 screenplay, which will raise funds for Season of Concern (SoC), which provides services and compassionate care to artists who are experiencing life-threatening illnesses.

All About Eve centers on the ways in which a seemingly innocent and starry-eyed ingratiates herself into the world and personal life of a Broadway star.

The reading will feature Hollis Resnik as Margo Channing, Larry Yando as Addison DeWitt, Heidi Kettenring as Karen, James Vincent Meredith as Bill, Peggy Roeder as Birdie, BJ Jones as Llyod, Ross Lehman as Max Fabian, Maura Kidwell as Ms. Caswell, Robert Brueller as the Chief Prompter, Mildred Marie Langford as Phoebe, and Sandra Delgado as Eve. John Steinhagen is the pianist. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Along with the performance, the event will feature the presentation of the fourth annual Larry Sloan Awards to the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, former SoC board president Barry Taylor, and longtime SoC fundraiser Karen Bronson.
