Theater Wit to Offer Free Tickets for First Two Weeks of Spin; Opening Delayed by One Week

Theater Wit has announced that it is postponing the official opening of its new building by one week. However, it will still offer free admission for the first two weeks of Penny Penniston’s world premiere comedy Spin, which will now run April 22 – June 5. The production, directed by Jeremy Wechsler, inaugurates the company’s new $1.2 million venue at 1229 W. Belmont Avenue in Chicago.

This modern-day farce is abouit a man who loses his high powered job in advertising, and resolves to remake himself into a better man. The cast will include Lance Baker, Joe Foust, Coburn Goss, Michael Kessler, Austin Talley and Alice Wedoff.

The creative team will include Jack Magaw (set), Laura Kollar (costumes), and Jessica Harpenau (lights).

Theater Wit has also planned a number of special events to coincide with the production, including an open house on April 25, from 9am to 2pm.
