TimeLine Theatre Company Announces 2012-2013 Season

TimeLine Theatre Company has announced the productions planned for its 2012-2013 season, which will begin in August.

TimeLine will kick off the season with the Chicago premiere of Moisés Kaufman’s 33 Variations (August 23-October 21), directed by associate artistic director Nick Bowling, which follows a modern-day music scholar. Next, the world premiere of Wasteland (October 12-December 30) by Susan Felder, a play about two soldiers who are thrust into each other’s lives after being captured in Vietnam, will be directed by associate artist director William Brown.

The new year will begin with Lisa Portes directing Naomi Iizuka’s play about exoticism and xenophobia Concerning Strange Devices from the Distant West (January 15-April 14). To close the season, TimeLine will present Blood and Gifts (April 30-July 28), written by J.T. Rogers and directed by Nick Bowling, which spans a decade following a CIA operative as he struggles to stop the Soviet Army’s destruction of Afghanistan.
