Bernard Balbot, Kamal Angelo Bolden and More Set for Victory Gardens’ We Are Proud to Present…
Victory Gardens has announced casting for Jackie Sibblies Drury’s We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South-West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915, to run March 30 – April 29. Eric Ting will direct the production.
The show focuses on a group of eager young amateur actors, who, attempting to dramatize the first genocide of the 20th century, find themselves in over their heads as they come face to face with the demons of our collective past.
The cast will feature Bernard Balbot (White Man); Kamal Angelo Bolden (Black Man); Tracey N. Bonner (Black Woman); Jake Cohen (Another White Man); Leah Karpel (Sarah); Travis Turner (Another Black Man).
The creative team will include Brian Bembridge (scenic design), Jesse Klug (lighting design), Mike Tutaj (projection design), Sarah Picket (sound design), and Christine Pascual (costume design).
