Aarón Alonso, Kate Carson-Groner, Samantha Dubina Set for Rise of the Numberless

Bailiwick Chicago and The New Colony have announced casting for Rise of the Numberless, to run April 6 – May 26 at Collaboraction Studio 300 in the Flat Iron Arts Building. Andrew Hobgood will direct the production, which will have choreography by Katie Spelman

Written by director Hobgood, along with Patriac Coakley and Evan Linder, the show takes place in an America celebrating the semi-centennial anniversary of a law that limits citizens to one child one family; an act designed to curb overpopulation, nationwide starvation, riots and unhealthy living conditions. Those who do not obey this law must live the life of a fugitive in order to protect their Numberless children. The work’s original songs are by Chris Gingrich, Julie B. Nichols and Hobgood,

The company will feature Aarón Alonso (Emmanuel), Kate Carson-Groner (Libby), Samantha Dubina (Nyne), Harmony France (Eva), Michael Harnichar (Silas), Cameron Johnson (Kevin), Nikki Klix (Roxy), Ryan Lanning (Howard), Eric Martin (Ten), Wes Needham (Fuck), Steven Perkins (Kieran), Michael Peters (Prime), Danny Taylor (Jayen), and Sheana Tobey (Zenith).

The creative team will include John Holt (scenic design), Kate Setzer Kamphausen (costume design), and Mac Vaughuy (lighting design).
