Alana Arenas, Brenda Barrie, Molly Glynn, Francis Guinan, Tim Hopper, Ora Jones, Keith Kupferer, Martha Lavey, Tracy Letts, and Michael Patrick Thornton will star in Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s production of Will Eno’s Middletown, to play the Downstairs Theatre, June 16-August 14. Les Waters will direct.

In the play, Mary Swanson just moved to Middletown. About to have her first child, she is eager to enjoy the neighborly bonds a small town promises. But life in Middletown is complicated: neighbors are near strangers and moments of connection are fleeting. The play is a portrait of a town with two lives, one ordinary and visible, the other epic and mysterious.

The production team will include Antje Ellermann (scenic design), Janice Pytel (costume design), Matt Frey (lighting design) and Richard Woodbury (sound design).
