The previously announced Chicago engagement of Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning God of Carnage will not be taking place, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune's Theater Loop blog. There is no word of a replacement production in the series' subscription offering.

The report in the Tribune follows one yesterday in The New York Times, which announced that the national tour of the play had been canceled entirely. A spokesperson for the production had "No comment" regarding either the tour or the report in the Times.

Yasmina Reza's play continues to run on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, and currently stars Dylan Baker, Jeff Daniels, Lucy Liu, and Janet McTeer.
