Gary Griffin to Direct Keith Huff’s The Detective’s Wife for Writers’ Theatre; Season Announced

Writers’ Theatre in Glencoe, IL has announced its 2010-2011 season which will include the world premiere of Keith Huff’s The Detective’s Wife (June 7 – July 31, 2011). Gary Griffin will stage this play, which focuses on a woman who sets out to discover the truth behind her detective husband’s murder.

The company’s season will begin with a production of She Loves Me (September 14 – November 21), featuring a book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Michael Halberstam will direct a company that will feature Guy Adkins, Heidi Kettenring, Sean Krill, Ross Lehman, and Rod Thomas, with additional casting to be announced at a later date.

The theater will also offer the world premiere of Brett Neveu’s Do The Hustle (January 25 – March 20). William Brown will direct this play about a father and son team of hustlers. Brown will also direct the Writers’ Theatre’s production of George Bernard Shaw’s Heartbreak House (April 19 – June 26). The season will also include one additional production to be announced.
