Kevin Anderson to Star in Victory Gardens’ A Guide for the Perplexed

Tony Award nominee Kevin Anderson will star in the world premiere of Joel Drake Johnson’s A Guide for the Perplexed, which will play Chicago’s Victory Gardens Theatre, July 9-August 23, 2010.

The production, to be directed by Sandy Shinner and co-star Frances Guinan, will feature Anderson as a newly released petty criminal who is forced to take reluctant residence with his sister’s husband and teenage son.

Anderson’s Broadway credits include Come Back Little Sheba, Death of a Salesman, Orpheus Descending, and Brooklyn The Musical. He also starred in the stage and screen versions of Orphans.

The theater’s 2009-2010 season will also include Michael Golamco’s Year Zero (September 11-25), Kristoffer Diaz’s The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety (September 25-November 1), Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen (November 27-December 27), Tanya Barfield’s Blue Door (January 22-February 28), Lonnie Carter’s The Lost Boys of Sudan (March 19-April 25), and Dennis Zaeck’s Jacob and Jack (May 14-20).
